Director

Definition

A Director (Torishimariyaku) is a person elected at the shareholders' meeting (株主総会) to manage the company's business. A KK must have at least one director. Directors make business decisions and represent the company. Their term is up to 10 years (2 years by default). Changes must be registered at the Legal Affairs Bureau (法務局) within 2 weeks.
