Stock Company (Corporation)

Definition

A Kabushiki Kaisha (KK) is a corporate form established under the Companies Act. It issues shares, with shareholders bearing limited liability up to their investment. Incorporation requires drafting articles of incorporation (teikan), notarial certification, and registration. There is no minimum capital requirement.

株式会社を設立するには、定款を作成して公証役場で認証を受ける必要があります。

To establish a stock company (株式会社), you need to draft articles of incorporation and have them notarized.
