Definition
A Trade Name (Shōgō) is the official name of a company as registered. Must include "株式会社" or "合同会社" etc. in the name. Cannot be identical to another company at the same address. Can use Japanese (hiragana, katakana, kanji), Roman letters, Arabic numerals, and certain symbols. Recorded in the commercial register at the Legal Affairs Bureau.
