Bonus
Definition
A lump-sum payment to employees or officers, typically paid in summer and winter. Subject to income tax withholding and social insurance premiums. A bonus payment report (被保険者賞与支払届) must be submitted to the pension office within 5 days of payment. For officers, bonuses are only tax-deductible if reported in advance (事前確定届出給与).
