Definition
Fiscal Year is the accounting period of a corporation. It can be freely set in the articles of incorporation and must not exceed one year. In Japan, April-March is common, but corporations can set any month as their fiscal year end.

当社の事業年度は4月1日から3月31日までです。
Our company's fiscal year (事業年度) runs from April 1 to March 31.
