Overview

eLTAX is the electronic filing and payment system for local taxes, operated by the Local Tax Cooperation Organization. It handles corporate resident tax and enterprise tax filing, depreciable asset declarations, salary payment report submissions, special collection resident tax payments, and other local tax procedures. A key advantage is that filings to all prefectures and municipalities across Japan can be made through a single system. For example, salary payment reports to multiple municipalities can be submitted in one batch via eLTAX.

How to use

• PCdesk (WEB version): Browser-based web application for common procedures • PCdesk (downloadable version): Installable software supporting a wider range of procedures • Registration with eLTAX (obtaining a user ID and password) is required • Authentication via electronic certificate or My Number Card • The shared tax payment function enables direct debit and internet banking payments for local taxes
